Why do I want to forgive him?

Why do I want to forgive him?

Because I was honest and vulnerable. And, he didn’t know how to receive it. 

I want to forgive him because although I am disappointed and feel betrayed. Not having him in my life is for the best. 

I want to forgive him because recounting memories of him lying to me will not do me any good. As much as I want to continue to blame him, I choose to move on with my life. 

I want to forgive him because I expected him to be there for me when he can’t even be there for himself. 

I forgive him because my anger towards him has served its purpose and now, there is no need for it anymore. 

I forgive him because life is too good to live it upset over something that I have no control over. I could spend the rest of my life demonizing him but, all of that would be a complete waste. 

I forgive him because I choose peace, joy and happiness. Hate has no place in my life anymore.
