10 quotes to help you release toxic people and things.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Image from Unsplash

We all need support and, the best support often happens when we are going through challenge.

As someone who recently let go of a few toxic people in their life, I know that I need support.

We often think of support being in the form of a person. However, support can also be in the form of affirmations, mantras and quotes.

So, I have compiled a list of quotes to help anyone stayed encouraged during the release of toxicity in their life:

1. ‘A year from now, you will have wished that you had started today.’ -Karen Lambe

2. ‘Just as God opens doors. God closes doors. Don’t get stuck trying to hold on to something that’s over and done.’ - Joel Osteen

3. ‘Do not let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace.’ - Dalai Lama.

4. ‘To see what is right and not do it is cowardice.’- Confucius

5. ‘If I am not good to myself, how can I expect anyone else to be good to me?’- Maya Angelou

6. ‘Letting go doesn’t mean ignoring a situation.’ - Iyanla Vanzant

7. ‘If friends disappoint you over and over, that’s in large your own fault.’ - Oprah Winfrey

8. ‘Turn your wounds into wisdom.’ - Oprah Winfrey

9. ‘You don’t have to feel guilty about removing toxic people from your life.’ - Daniell Koepke

10. ‘I can make it through the rain. I can stand up once again on my own.’- Mariah Carey

IMG_6666.JPG

Soy un firme creyente en las afirmaciones positivas porque somos lo que / quiénes creemos que somos. Por lo tanto, es importante mantener nuestros pensamientos sobre nosotros mismos positivos y de apoyo porque nos convertimos en lo que creemos.

No siempre he sido tan positivo.

1. Soy desagradable.

2. Soy perezoso.

3. No soy inteligente.

4. Soy cruel.

5. Soy gordo.

6. Soy una puta.

7. No soy talentoso.

8. Soy como todos los demás.

9. Nunca llegaré a nada.

10. Soy falso.

11. Soy fea.

12. No soy suficiente.

12 Lies that I once told myself that I no longer believe.

IMG_6666.JPG

Image from Unsplash

I am a firm-believer in positive affirmations because we are what/who we believe ourselves to be. So, it is important to keep our thoughts about ourselves positive and supportive because we become what we believe.

I haven’t always been this positive. When I wasn’t this positive, the biggest mistake that I made was believing negative things people said about me. I turned their lies into truth.

Now that I know that these beliefs are lies, I can clearly say that these are 12 lies I once told myself that aren’t true:

1. I am unlovable.

2. I am lazy.

3. I am not smart.

4. I am unkind.

5. I am fat.

6. I am a slut.

7. I am not talented.

8. I am like everyone else.

9. I will never amount to anything.

10. I am fake.

11. I am ugly.

12. I am not enough.

Dear Fake Girl,

IMG_6703.JPG

Image from Unsplash

 Dear Fake Girl,

I know why you move the way that you move. You have never had a chance to stand firm in your truth. And, now your truth has become foggy. and so have your actions and your words.

You see, being fake is a facade. The facade is very visible. It is visible that standing in front of a mirror pains you and that pain you spread through gossip, passive aggressiveness and lack of sincerity.

Just like with anything else, the facade fades and when it does, what will you leave behind? One day, no one will care what you have to say because the smile that you wear holds no sincerity and genuineness. People are smarter than you think.

So, instead of spreading fake love and fake compliments. Maybe try being real? Seek real love and support within yourself so that you can spread it to others.

What we accumulate in our minds, bodies and our souls spreads energetically. So, don’t be surprised if right now you have fake friends and people around you who are flakey. Only once you learn to stand in your truth can you/ will you be able to spread genuine love and kindness.

So, start today because each moment is too important to spend seeking things to complete us. Your true power stands in knowing and understanding that you are enough. Your genuine self is enough, even if others don’t accept it. You don’t need their acceptance. You are the only one who needs to accept you.

4 traditional eastern supplements that are great for your health.

IMG_6470.JPG

Image from Unsplash

It’s hard to keep up with all the latest benefits of particular supplements. I am a huge fan of traditional eastern medicine and the many benefits that come along with some of the herbs that have been used as supplements for thousands of years.

Here are four supplements that I highly recommend for your health and why:

1. Ginseng.

I highly recommend Ginseng. I take it everyday and it helps me stay alert and active; even when I feel lethargic or tired. This is not a replacement for sleep but can help fight fatigue. I am a huge fan of Korean Ginseng that can be bought online.

2. Oregano.

Another supplement that I take daily is Oregano. Oregano is in the Basil family and is a natural antibiotic and anti-fungal meaning that it helps your body eliminate toxins easier, particularly from your intestines. Oregano has been linked to lowering risks of cancer as well as lowering cholesterol.

3. Ginkgo

The third supplement that I recommend is Gingko. The health benefits range from improved blood circulation to improved brain function and many other benefits. When I take Gingko, I notice an improvement in my mental focus and overall mood. I don’t take this for a long period of time; only during days that I know that I will need more mental focus or feel drained of energy.

4. B12

This supplement is naturally found in particular plants, eggs and most meats. They have recently found out that the body will excrete excess b12 so taking high amounts of it will not cause harm. I take b12 in my electrolytes that I consume daily. Providing me with generally more energy, mental stamina and circulation of minerals and vitamins from my food into the blood stream.

What wakes me up in the morning, my uplifting morning routine.

IMG_6290.JPG

Let’s be honest, it’s not always easy to get up in the morning. I have a hectic schedule and getting up properly in the morning is key.

Over the years, I have adopted different methods to waking up in an efficient way.

This is my uplifting morning routine:

1. I meditate for at least 15 minutes in the morning.

I’m currently doing the 21-day meditation with Deepak Chopra and Oprah. I am also a huge fan of Sadghuru and Wayne Dyer’s morning meditation that I listen to on YouTube. Meditation is important to me because it raises our vibration and elevated our subconscious, strengthening the mind.

2. I pray

Prayer is so important to me. I didn’t grow up religious but I have always had a connection to God. That connection is primary and has helped me through many situations. Sometimes my prayer is simply one of gratitude. Sometimes I address a concern on my mind and protection against negative energy. And, sometimes, I pray for others. Whatever the prayer is, I pray to be more connected to The Divine.

3. I play uplifting music.

A few years ago, I would wake up to one of my favourite DJs, DJ Kent. He has these mixes available on YouTube, which I listen to. I also like to listen to Gospel music. Something that reminds me that there is joy, beauty and magic in This World so that I don’t forget.

Instead of these actions, I will practice gratitude instead.

IMG_6256.JPG

I am a firm-believer in gratitude. Gratitude can help you change your perspective, elevate your consciousness and remind you of reasons why it is beneficial to get through something that may be challenging or to move beyond.

Sometimes it’s difficult to embody this. So, I am writing this list to remind myself of things that I am leaving behind and practicing gratitude instead of:

• Instead of feeling like they owe me anything, I will practice gratitude for having anything.

• Instead of counting what I don’t have, I will practice gratitude for what I do have.

• Instead of counting how many times love has hurt me, I will practice gratitude that I was given the chance to love.

• Instead of complaining about how people treat me, I will practice gratitude that I choose to treat people differently.

• Instead of complaining about how much money I make, I will practice gratitude that I even get paid.

• Instead of expecting perfection, I will practice gratitude that there are different ways and different people who deal with things from different perspective.

•Instead of expecting everyone and everything to be the same, I will practice gratitude that I have been given the choice of variety and diversity.

• Instead of being bitter about what could’ve been, I will practice gratitude that every person and everything in my life is in my life for a reason and every person and thing that isn’t, isn’t mean to be in my life.

Phrases that the different zodiac signs use after a break-up.

We’ve all gone through a break-up and deal with it differently. So, I thought it only fitting for this month’s Zodiac article to be dedicated to phrases that the different signs are likely to use during a break-up.

*Please keep in mind that this is a fun article based on what the zodiac’s common traits are associated with.

•Aquarius: (Robot voice) ‘I’m okay. This for the best.’ - Cries when no one is around to save face.

Pisces: ‘What happened? I thought everything was going well. What do I do? How do I live?’

Aries: ‘You’ll regret this and the day that you were born!’

Taurus: ‘We’re not over. You’re crazy! I love you and I don’t love everyone.’

Gemini: ‘Great! Now, I can live my best life, ALONE!’

Cancer: ‘I need a month alone at home so that I can cry and feel everything.’

Leo: ‘I always knew that I was lowering my standards for you. This is proof because you don’t know how great I am.’

Virgo: ‘Fine by me. The next chapter of my life is about me and me only.’

Libra: ‘Can we still be friends?’

Scorpio: ‘You’ll regret this and I will prove to you that you will!’

Sagittarius: ‘Now I can finally sleep with other people and not feel bad about it.’

Capricorn: ‘I’m glad it’s over, you didn’t align with my 5- year plan anyway.’

10 Things That I tell myself when someone comments about my weight.

IMG_6186.JPG

Image from Unsplash

We are a society based on looks. Especially in the city that I live in, L.A., people tend to be more focused on the outside than what is in inside. It is unfortunate because we miss out on so much that someone has to offer on the inside because we are so focused on the external.

I am very happy with the way that I look and feel. I feel healthy, beautiful, strong and full of life. Which, is a far way from where I have come.

I spent years being unkind to myself, starving myself and throwing up my food to please what some of my family, friends and agents thought of my size. That journey led me to realize that no matter how small I get, someone will always have something to say about the way that you look. It is a societal disease to place our insecurities onto others.

I reject it because it is not healthy and not serving.

So now when someone comments about my weight, I might reply to them or not. However, my internal dialogue is more important than what anyone else has to hear.

This is what I say to myself when someone makes a comment about my weight:

1. You are enough.

2. Your health is priority.

3. Don’t give in to someone else’s insecurities.

4. That person and comment does not have power over you.

5. Your body is doing way more for you internally than how it looks on the outside.

6. Health and happiness first!

7. Meeting people’s expectations of yourself is a game that you can never win.

8. Believe what you want about yourself.

9. People’s words only carry weight if you let them.

10. Be stronger! Your journey and progression is in your hands, not someone else’s.
